Eel Brook Common

The London home of Dickie and Susan Bannenberg, this simple house has been designed and refurbished to almost double the visual space. Dickie is co-founder of the famous Yacht designers, Bannenberg & Rowell, and the couple had a clear vision of how their family home should work.

Their main criteria was to open up the ground floor and to create light and space at the back of the house. Upon entering into a large open plan room, the house flows into the glass extension, which allows light to flood in and evening stars to twinkle above. The spacious layout also creates the perfect background for their extensive collection of tribal artwork.
